There is a maxim, Dress for Success, which means that you dress for the position you want in the company, not the position you are in at the current moment. In other words, you imagine the job you want and create your image to fit the job. If you are dressed like a manager, you will be more likely to be chosen for the job than another worker with the same qualifications and seniority who dresses casually.
The same idea works for your hobbies and activities that you are most passionate about. If you love to write, think of yourself as a writer. In my case, I love to sew and crochet, so I think of myself as a fabric and fiber designer. The fact that you see yourself as a success actually will bring success and abundance to you, if it is in alignment with your purpose here on the planet.
Sometimes we need to adjust the direction in which we are heading, but it may be that the timing is not right. There were times in my life when I was not happy at work, but since I could not find another job, I knew that I was supposed to learn something from the situation I was in. At those times I made sure I spent at least 30 minutes sewing when I got home, always imagining that some day I would make a profit, not knowing how or when, just knowing that if it was meant to be, it would happen. And it did happen, but it happened with crochet, This came as a total surprise, since I had crocheted many afghans and accessories, mostly as gifts to give away!
