Clothes and Shoes, of all things

lilies

This has always been one of my favorite passages in the Bible.  It helped me accept the fact that I would not be able to dress like I wanted to.  When I was young I was unable to walk in high heels.  I had to buy shoes that were flat and practical.  The style of the clothes I wore was determined by my shoes and at times it really bothered me, especially when I was in high school.

Seems a bit silly now that I am looking back, but we do the best we can based on our current of awareness.  I am grateful that my awareness has expanded past my clothes and superficial things.

Things don’t always go the way we want them to.  Looking at life’s detours as lessons to be learned and shared helps me to keep a positive attitude.
